a Drawing a Day…

drawing a day
A Thursday… er no, Wednesday or yes, possibly Thursday,  evening sketch of Corporal Klinger, wearing a wrap of pretty cloth. Klinger is the name we gave our dressmaker’s dummy~ anyone old enough to remember M*A*S*H  will understand : ) The chain of safety pins is a reference to my Great Aunt Lizzie who was a milliner. She had her own shop in Sandy Lane, Chorlton, in the early part of the 20th Century.  She always had a few chains of safety pins hanging from her I’m told, even when she was very aged, a little confused and in her nightgown. She sounds like my kind of woman. Rosie and I keep Klinger well supplied with safety pins in remembrance.Just wondering if anyone else does something a bit unusual in remembrance of another?

of her.
