Had a group drawing session at Ten Plus today. We were all so unusually quiet that we heard noises (from within the building and from without) that we never normally notice. During my day, I saw a sparrowhawk, a kestrel, two horses, a crocodile of schoolchildren and a red admiral butterfly 🙂 And Diana brought us all some homemade cake… Perfect day :p
Above: Yvonne’s flowers, Mabels’ pewter jug and Indian stitched runner. O and my Kettle/teapot which isn’t really, cos the spout is blocked and my old delph tankard.
Saturday, we have a ceilidh at The Irish Club in Chorlton. Dave and I will be playing alongside many others of the massed Beech Band. Should be fun. It’s raising funds for Ghyll Head Outdoor Education Centre, in the Lake District in England, I believe. Rosie went on a wonderful course there some years ago, which included scientific investigations of the area and music and storytelling in many forms. Let’s hope it can survive these troubled times.
Great sketch to capture a wonderful art session!
